The Committee was established on 22 June 2011 with a remit to examine legislation and hold the Welsh Government to account by scrutinising expenditure, administration and policy matters encompassing: the maintenance, development and planning of Wales’s natural environment and energy resources.

The Planning (Wales) Bill has been introduced. The committee has launched a consultation on the general principles of the Bill, which will close on 7 November.


The Committee has published a report on the Infrastructure Bill LCM.


The Committee has received the Welsh Government’s response to the report on the Welsh Government Proposals for the M4 around Newport.


The Committee has launched a consultation on its inquiry into the organic production and labelling of organic products
