The Committee was established on 22 June 2011 with a remit to examine legislation and hold the Welsh Government to account by scrutinising expenditure, administration and policy matters encompassing: the physical, mental and public health of the people of Wales, including the social care system.

News

 

The Plenary debate on Orthodontic Services in Wales is due to take place on 8 October 2014.

 

The Committee has written to the Minister for Health and Social Services as part of the short inquiry into the NHS complaints process in Wales. The Minister’s response will be published once received.

 

The Committee has agreed its outline work programme for September to December 2014. The programme is subject to amendment at the Committee’s discretion.

 

 

The Committee has issued a call for evidence on its inquiry into new psychoactive substances ("legal highs"). The consultation will close on 26 September 2014.
